Time for joy, and time for cheer. We’ve been good, but we can’t last. Hurry Christmas, hurry fast!
Alright, that’s enough of the chipmunks for the year.
We went to a Christmas party on Christmas Eve, and had a good time being merry and all that. The Blizzard’s wound up giving me a John Mayer DVD for my birthday, and Left 4 Dead for Christmas. My parents and grandparents got coffee, which I have to say was pretty good. Other than the fact that my grandfather made it a little bit too strong, by putting too much in the pot.
We had a small Christmas this year, like many families in the country. Family get together with a fairly large meal, with cheer and joy on the side. We didn’t do presents this year, other than my grandmother giving me a screwdriver set to work on my motorcycle. ![]()
But my aunt came over and the six of us had turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, and all the usual. It was yummy.
I finally got my grandfather back for all the things he does, though. It was awesome, we laughed till we couldn’t breath. I wish I had a camera, when I did it to him. We had a can of reddiwhip to put on the pumpkin pie, and he was having a really hard time getting it open. Then he started going on about how he was sure we did something to it, and it was probably going to blow up when he got it open. That was the wrong thing for him to say. ![]()
He tried to hand it to me, but I refused and had him keep trying. He finally realized there was a strip on plastic he needed to peel off, and then it should pop right open. Well, he peeled it… pressed his thumb to the cap, and I yelled “BOOM!” at him. He dropped the can, waved his hands in the air, and his eyes got as big as saucers. It was hilarious… Man, you should have seen it.
Anyway… On Christmas eve, Kyle, Clint, Rachel, and myself stayed up till about 4:30 chatting on messenger and Daireem. That was a whole lot of fun… Poor Rachel was flying out on Christmas day though. I am sure she fell asleep while on her flight, poor girl.
I think I am going to go to Goody’s over lunch today, and see if I can find any clothes on insane discount. I guess I could wait till I got out of work tonight, but it might be crowded then. We’ll see… I am thinking I might be able to go home early, if it doesn’t pick up. I don’t think I have ever seen it quite this slow for a week day. It’s just insane.
Alright, I should probably get going…

Tonight in the Wal*Mart parking lot, here in Ellijay three churches from Ellijay put on a mini concert. It was really quite awesome, they had music and marsh mellows, and cocoa, and cider… Yum.
There were a couple songs that were fast enough that a couple of people were out there swing dancing. Rachel and I were the first ones to do it, but by the end there were about three seperate couples out there. I had a great time making a fool of myself.
From what I was told after I got home, at one point in time while we were dancing there was a small crowd that had started to gather around us, watching. If I had known that, I would have probably freaked out and sent Rachel crashing into a fire barrel. I almost did a couple time anyway, but… yeah.
Kyle and Clint even came, which was really awesome. It was nice to be able to be able to just get out and have fun… even if it was in a crowd, in the middle of a parking lot. It used to be, that would freak me out. I am getting a little better though, and it’s really nice.
I — was going to type something here but got distracted. Lost it. Dangit.
So anyway… The point is… It was a nice night.

Last night my parents and I went to a Christmas party, that some friends from the church were having. They also invited several of my church friends to join us.
They also really suprised me, by having my friend Sarah bake a cake for me. I tell you, it was awesome.
In fact, I’ll show you it was awesome. It not only was awesome… it was the awesomest.
Isn’t that just… wow?
And somehow I got out with only getting one picture of me.
Anyway… I had a really good time. It wasn’t as weird as I thought it was going to be, so that’s a good thing. It felt good to be able to spend time with my friends and just have a good time, eating and being merry. Doesn’t happen all that often.
So, thank you to all who were involved.
